In Her Shoes

In the fashion world, the fall season always seems to be a time to reinvent ourselves. New season equals new purchases, which adds up to new wardrobes. Shoes, of course, are no exception.

More than just the finishing touch to a fabulous outfit, a woman’s shoe is like an extension of her personality. Any admirers of Sex and the City already know this point has been defended to the ground. This season, will you follow your inner Carrie Bradshaw? The time has come once again to trade flip-flops for Mary Janes, ankle boots and lace-up shoes. The style inspiration goes on and on.

As for me, one of my favourites is a come-back from last season: the over-the-knee boot.  Perfect with skinny jeans and a plethora of skirts. Newer to my personal collection are a cute pair of Mary Janes, with a little kitten heel — a unique combination of the two styles.  Another trend I have yet to try are the variety of open-toe boots, which would appear to be gaining in popularity very quickly.

No matter what your pick, don’t be afraid to be bold. After all, autumn is a fashionista’s time to come out and play.
