A New Spin On Mother’s Day Gifts

While we don’t really use CDs or vinyls that “spin” anymore, the musical connotation could be meaningful for Mom this weekend.

And for a little extra, it can come with a signature gift box and personalized greeting card. Apple also offers fun and loving suggestions to get written on the back if you find yourself stumped.

It’s perfectly unique and so practical that it would put flowers to shame. Also, if your mom hasn’t really gotten into technology yet, the gesture could be a perfect starting point for getting her into the 21^st century.

As an added idea, why not pre-fill it with all of her favourite songs before you give it to her?

Beyond Mother’s Day, this is a great idea for thank-you gifts, graduations or birthdays. I think I know what I want for my next birthday.

Just be sure not to make it too sappy. The last thing I’d want to do is bust my iPod out on a crowded subway and have everyone read “Love you smoochems” on the back.
