If Matt Moore’s country music doesn’t
please the palate, his cooking sure will.
The country singer and cookbook
author will be the feature guest at this year’s P.E.I. Fall Flavours festival, including Tourism Charlottetown’s
Great Big BBQ Cook
Off and Block Party on Sept. 24. As Moore prepares a delicious combination of music and Southern cuisine,
patrons of the day’s events will also be able to enjoy cooking demonstrations, as well as street shopping and
dancing.
Moore, who has shared the stage
with country acts, Sugarland, Dierks Bentley, and Zac Brown, is the author of the popular cookbook
Have Her Over for
Dinner: A Gentleman’s Guide to Classic, Simple Meals.
There is much more to
P.E.I. Fall Flavours than just the Sept. 24 occasion; over 60 new
festival events will take place across Prince Edward Island between the Sept. 2 to 25. Some of the more than
75 events will include At the Chef's Table, a five-course interactive dinner where participants will join
chefs in the kitchen, a collection of culinary boot camps, the Summerside Wine, Arts & Culinary Show and
the popular Taste Our Island Roving Feast, featuring the ten Islander chefs nominated for this year’s Taste
Our Island Award.
Bon appetit!
