Toronto Fashion Week: Round 25
The FDCC will once again bring together a roster of Canadian designers, this time to showcase Spring 2012 collections. LG Fashion Week veterans Pink Tartan and Joe Fresh will show back-to-back on Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., while newcomers such as Caroline Néron, Golnaz Ashtiani, Anu Raina, Adrian Wu and Lala Berlin will make their LGFW debut. Forbes Galleries welcomes jewelry from around the world
Early 20th century art jewelry will be exhibited at New York City’s Forbes Galleries starting on Oct. 29 through to March 17, 2012. Titled “International Art Jewelry: 1895-1925,” the gallery will bring together various art movements from around the world and compare them side-by-side. Don’t expect to see mainstream jewelry from the Victorian era, but rather pieces from the Art Nouveau movement in France, Arts & Crafts in Great Britain and the U.S., Jugendstil from Germany and Australia and Stile Liberty from Italy. ...
