Wine devotees can participate in the ultimate
indulgence in Kelowna’s Mission Hill Winery, where they are hosting their annual summer concert so visitors
can take in good food, good music, and of course – good wine.
Overlooking the panoramic
Okanagan Valley in the winery’s unique fortress-like setting, this year’s concert features the renowned vocal
quartet The Canadian Tenors, who have featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, and will perform classic songs, as well as
songs from their upcoming album.
American rock act Chris Isaak,
whose music has been in Top 10 hits and is most celebrated for his famous song “Wicked Game,” will be
promoting his latest album Mr. Lucky.
In addition to the music, the
winery is also offering special packages for those who want to take advantage of visiting one of the best
wineries in Canada. The Reception and Concert package features pre-concert meals, wine pairings and reserved
seating before the crowd arrives. Visitors can also go the extra mile and receive The Dinner and Concert
package, which includes reserved concert seating and a 3-course meal with wine pairings in their Terrace
Restaurant, which was called by Travel + Leisure magazine as “one of the top five winery restaurants in the world.”
While you’re visiting the
winery, why not make it a special wine experience and book a private winery tour? Their most intense tour is
the 8-hour Day in the Vineyards, which includes a driving tour around their estate vineyards, a lunch with
the best wines the vineyard has to offer, and information on the art of wine-growing.
The Canadian Tenors are
scheduled to perform on Aug. 17, and Chris Isaak on Aug. 21. For more information, visit missionhillwinery.com
