Jordan Paul is dedicated to the art of the
spectacle. Fifteen years of experience in the high-end optical industry has allowed this optician and
self-professed vintage frame aficionado to bring in a mix of vintage eyewear from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s, as
well as modern frames from international designers, all into one room.
Opticianado, located in Toronto’s hip Junction
neighbourhood, features a state-of-the-art lens edging lab, provides custom repairs and refurbishes classic
eyewear. The boutique carries custom-made cases crafted from vintage (surprise) and re-purposed materials, so
you can protect your glasses in style, while doing some good for the environment. If specs aren’t your thing,
the boutique offers expert contact-lens fittings on site.
Not limited to optometry, the store serves as a venue for monthly performances on Sunday
afternoons by local artists. It’s a natural fit in the Junction’s thriving arts and design
community.
So whether you’re coveting cat-eye frames from the ’60s or the latest designs from
Burberry or Betsey Johnson, Paul’s diverse collection of vintage and designer frames will have just what
you’re looking for.
